My Story
From the moment I wrote my first story at age 6, I knew I was destined to be an author. At 13, my family made a life-changing move from a bustling city in Texas to a tiny village of 35 people nestled in rural Pennsylvania. It was there, in the shadow of the mountains and the expanse of the Pine Creek Gorge, that I learned some of life’s most valuable lessons. From getting snowed in and harvesting the garden to living in the parsonage behind the little church and picking wild berries in the woods, life was made up of small, everyday moments.
At the time, it didn’t seem extraordinary — just simple and ordinary. But now, looking back, I realize how truly unique and special that period of my life was. It was in the Pine Creek Gorge that I began writing the stories of the Richardsons — characters who have stayed with me through the years as I navigated high school, college, marriage, and the adoption of three children.
Today, I continue to work on the sequel, The Waking Hours, while also writing content for 9 Embers, where I focus on creating insightful resources and documentation for clients.
